Odisha is never known be a scuba diving destination even though it has got a vast coastline, a beautiful warm weather and clear water. However first time in Odisha you can have water sports like scuba diving, snorkeling, rafting and surfing.

At Ramachandi beach on marine drive between Puri and Konark, there is this den of Kalinga Divers’ Foundation. Set on the confluence of Kushavadra river and the Bay of Bengal, there is a perfect spot for training, recreation and draining your adrenaline spirits. International diver Mr Sabir Bux runs the academy. Sabeer is an acclaimed diver with international diving licenses in Open water diving and rescue diver card by professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). He also has the rare distinction of discovering 100 year old sea wreak in the bank of Chandrabhaga beach and his quest for more such discoveries in his various diving expeditions. He has a vision of making it into to water sports academy. Apart from scuba diving, one can experience snorkeling, rafting, wind surfing, paddle surfing and boating. How to reach:

Ramachandi beach is 60 km from Bhubaneswar, the state capital of Odisha. It’s on the marine drive between Konark and Puri. It can be reached by all weather motorable road. Bhubaneswar is well connected by air and railways to rest of India.
